St. James Child Care Center and Pre-School is a non-profit organization serving families in the communities of Burnsville and Savage. The first to offer child care in the Burnsville/Savage area, the Center opened in 1972 in response to a community wide need, in space provided by St. James Church.

Today the Center has evolved into a full service child care facility and pre-school, offering a flexible array of choices to meet the needs of each family. While the Center operates in a Christian congregational setting and shares its name with St. James Church, the Center maintains a tradition of offering a multicultural program suitable for families of all backgrounds and religious faiths, members and non-members alike.
