GOOD NEWS BEARERS
This ministry is in its 12th year at St. James. Over 100 people of all ages come for dinner each week and 50+ kids have a great time with drama and games and learn more about the Bible than they (or we) even realize until they amaze us at the Bible Trivia Bowl each May. (Played on a life-size board with “live” playing piece working to clothe themselves in the Armor of God) These students have also filled Christmas treat bags for St. Joseph’s home for children, ministered to our college students by sending treats at Halloween and on Valentine’s day, gone to a Christmas Play at the Landmark Center in St. Paul, gone sledding in January and had a great sleepover each spring. Here’s how it works: Students may register for Good News Bearers using the form on the registration page. Anyone (not just Good News Bearers Families) is invited to enjoy a meal (Cost $1 per person) and fellowship, beginning with a welcome and music at 5:30. Dinner is served from 5:45 until 6:15. Please come for “dinner out” even if you are not involved in other Wednesday night programming. The Good News Bearers, the Bible learning/drama program for 3rd-6th graders meets from 6:15 to 7:00.
